Partners & links

Australian Performance Exchange has been created to engage with creative partners both locally and globally. It encourages links with other artists interested in devising performance works, which engage with issues and ideas of national and international consequence. APE is also interested in engaging with producing partners to realise ideas which demand large-scale presentation and the involvement of multiple international collaborators.

APE would like to invite artists who feel that they have ideas or performance practices that connects with our vision to contact us.  We welcome interest from artists or companies who feel that they may be able to contribute to a project in development or have a proposal for a new work to work on together.

APE has an ongoing relationship with the following artists:

Eastlink Gallery 东廊艺术
Established by Li Liang in 1999 as one of the first galleries in Shanghai, Eastlink Gallery quickly established a reputation as one of the most critically acclaimed galleries in China. Since its inception, Eastlink has supported emerging and experimental artists, with a proven track record in showing artists who have gone on to become leading figures in the contemporary Chinese art market. The pivotal exhibition “Fuck Off” was held here in 2000 which solidified Eastlink’s reputation as an anchor tenant where artists-particularly emerging artists and those underrepresented in conventional forums-can exhibit their work and exchange ideas with their peers. Oscillating between museum and commercial gallery, Eastlink has continued to seek out and champion the work of China’s most innovative and experimental artists, and create a new platform for promoting contemporary Chinese art.
